In the Detail and Fabrication Program Area Pathway, we explore architecture as a creative process of making, with an emphasis on experimentation with materials and contemporary methods of fabrication.

Detail and Fabrication

Courses in this area combine conceptual development of details with hands-on material experimentation. Students are introduced to methods that help resolve the total design environment, especially the design of human-scale elements. Detail and Fabrication encourages students to make a positive and lasting contribution to the built environment by thinking about large and small-scale interventions simultaneously.
