Plym Baker

Francis J. Plym Traveling Fellowship

Numerous alumni over the years have benefited from the Francis J. Plym Traveling Fellowship. The competition is open to graduates of the School of Architecture of the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. Graduates of the School may apply as often as they wish, but prior recipients of the Francis J. Plym Traveling Fellowship in Architecture are ineligible. Preference will be given to applicants whose portfolios represent up to two decades of professional development since graduation. The Fellowship carries a stipend of $30,000 to defray the expenses of a 3-month (or more) stay in Europe devoted to the study of architecture.

Clyde Lee and Jane Cecilia Baker Traveling Fellowship

The Clyde Lee and Jane Cecilia Baker Traveling Fellowship is an award for alumni who demonstrate continuing design excellence in their work following graduation. Successful recipients of the fellowship will receive a stipend of $10,000 and will be required to spend a minimum of four weeks of immersive travel-study. This award is open to graduates from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign School of Architecture with a Master of Architecture degree. Graduates will be eligible as candidates for this award up to ten calendar years from the date of graduation to the submission date for the award.
