Clinical Associate Professor Randy Deutsch is part of a team that has received a $500,000 planning grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) and $140,000 seed funding from the Discovery Partners Institute (DPI) to plan the establishment of the National Institute for Artificial Intelligence in Construction, leading to the first-of-its-kind institute for the application of AI in design, construction and operation of buildings and infrastructure.

Our online lecture series for Fall 2020 includes visiting faculty and designers from across the globe.

In an initiative to support the efforts of colleagues in the southern hemisphere who found themselves in confinement days before the beginning of the school year, Professor Alejandro Lapunzina offered a free online seminar for students, professionals, and teachers.

Professor Kathryn Anthony appeared in a segment on CBS Sunday Morning on Sunday, July 26, 2020, discussing restroom design and COVID-19.

AnnaMarie Bliss, Lecturer in Architecture, recently published "Place, Meaning, and Attachment: Authenticity, Heritage, and Preservation" with Routledge. She co-edited the volume with Dak Kopec.

Congratulations to Shweta Krishnan and Bryan Samuel, students of Associate Professor Sara Bartumeus, for winning first prize in the 2020 Chicago Award in Architecture student competition.
