Alejandro Lapunzina Delivers International Online Seminar During Pandemic Confinement
The main goal of the seminar was to assist with teaching and learning efforts during the period of confinement provoked by COVID-19 pandemic. The seminar itself consisted of four autonomous but interrelated lectures addressing a wide range of topics related to the understanding of architecture as a discipline of critical creative reflection.
The seminar was organized by Casa Curutchet and the Colegio de Arquitectos de la Provincia de Buenos Aires (Argentina). It received institutional support from the Embassies of Switzerland and France, ICOMOS Argentina (of UNESCO’s International Council of Monuments and Sites), CICOP (Centro Internacional para la Conservación del Patrimonio), the Facultad de Arquitectura y Urbanismo/Universidad Nacional de La Plata, the Alliance Française, and the Institut Français.
The four lectures, scheduled during the month of July of 2020 on four consecutive Fridays, were delivered in Spanish and were available on Zoom and Facebook for more than 1,100 registered participants from Argentina, Latin American and Europe. More than 400 participants followed the presentations live on video; the rest accessed the retransmission made by the Colegio’s CAPBA-TV channel.
The Colegio de Arquitectos will make the lectures available on YouTube shortly.
