William Worn is Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign where his research interests lie at the intersection of sustainability and health. He is also President Emeritus and founder of Worn Jerabek Wiltse Architects P.C. in Chicago (1991-present). He taught previously at the University of Illinois at Chicago 2001-2009 where he was Director of the Master of Science in Health Design program.

Mr. Worn has served on the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Chicago Board of Directors; chaired the AIA Chicago Government Affairs Committee; and is past President of the American Institute of Architects in Illinois. He has served as Illinois Building Commissioner and on numerous Boards of Directors including the Chicago Environmental Fund.

Nationally recognized for his expertise in architecture for people with disabilities, Mr. Worn was awarded the AIA Citation of Honor for his work on behalf of people with disabilities and the HUD Best Practices award for his efforts in fair housing advocacy. His firm, Worn Jerabek Wiltse Architects, has designed more than four thousand units of affordable family, senior and supportive housing throughout the Mid-west.
