Associate Director for graduate studies Randy Deutsch has been selected to participate in the NCARB Scholars in Professional Practice program, an all-new, all expenses paid initiative to raise awareness of the importance of professional practice education. Convening this summer in Washington, DC, the program represents an opportunity to learn from experts, share best practices, and enhance the delivery of our professional practice curriculum.

Associate Professor Scott Murray was invited to lecture at the College of Architecture & Design at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) on April 2, 2018, at 5:00 PM.
The School of Architecture is pleased to announce the opening of a new exhibit at Temple Hoyne Buell Hall gallery from April 2nd-13th. Portals is a photographic catalog of entrances and their surroundings to the New York City Subway system. The exhibit features one image for all 255 stations documented in the project, alongside a series of installations contextualizing the photographs. The Illinois School of Architecture is pleased to announce that Dina Griffin, FAIA, NOMA, IIDA, will serve as the speaker at this year's Convocation Ceremony on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. in Foellinger Auditorium.

Professor Mohamed Boubekri and Nastaran Shishegar, a Ph.D. student, received a grant from the Jim H. McClung Lighting Research Foundation to study the effect of tunable white lighting technology on older adults health and quality of life.
Professor Deutsch has been invited along with two other leading members of the architecture, design, and technology communities to serve on the jury for this year’s ARCHITECT Magazine's R+D Awards. Winners will be featured in the July 2018 issue of the magazine.
