Students Win Awards in Steel Design Competition
In the competition, students were challenged to design a new museum utilizing steel as the primary structural material.
Nahid Akram, who completed his design project as a student in Professor Kevin Hinders’s graduate studio, won second place in the competition. Third place was awarded to the team of Wei Lin and Meghna Majethiya, who completed their project as students in Professor Scott Murray’s graduate studio, for which Professor Marci S. Uihlein served as structural consultant. Both winning projects were completed during the spring semester of 2017.
