Fall 2020 Studio Prizes Announced
A Message from Director Rodriguez
I am thrilled to announce the results of the Fall 2020 Earl Prize and Design Excellence Awards. As Director of the Illinois School of Architecture, I thoroughly enjoyed both the quality of the projects presented and the aspirational quality of their respective pedagogical programs. The jury was composed by alumnus Nick Brown, (Founder of Glappit) and Sam Park (Senior Associate at John Ronan Architects), Associate Director Kevin Erickson, and myself. While discussing the various submissions, we engaged in a series of interesting conversations about the status of our design studios, the desired scale and complexity of the projects, and their projection outside of our own walls. The deliberation was thorough and fair, and the decisions were unanimous.
