The design of a 1800 square foot Gathering Space that could be used for events such as graduation parties, weddings, and retirement events, at the University of Illinois Arboretum with guest seating for 100.
Kickapoo State Recreation receives one million visitors each year to take advantage of the scenery, its fishing, hiking, paths, canoeing, kayaking, camping, and many other outdoor activities the park has to offer. The park currently does not have any permanent structures for overnight camping, this project investigates what form such structures, and supporting infrastructure, would be required if the park felt they would want to expand into this style of recreation that gaining popularity in other States in the US and in Europe.
