Associate Professor in the Department of Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies at New York University, Abigail Balbale, is being hosted by UIUC Program in Medieval Studies and School of Architecture on March 25, 2025. The lecture, at 4:00 PM at 1080 LCLB - Lucy Ellis Lounge & Conference Center 707 Mathew Ave Urbana IL, is titled "The sight that I offer is the fairest of sights': Ivory, Concubines, and Transcultural Exchange in Umayyad Cordoba."
