Jami Becker graduated from the Track 3 program at The UIUC School Of Architecture and took the winding road to San Francisco to pursue her dreams of working in the beginning of the computer industry in California.
After turning down opportunities to be an assistant at Pixar and work at Disney as an Imagineer or saddle herself in the Fresno, California’s flat dry equivalent of Illinois and work for Frank Llloyd Wright’s disciple Arthur Dyson she eventually found herself in the right place at the right time working on the Original The Sims Video game. Luck for Ms. Becker The Sims was the first video game acquisition for MOMA in NYC and is currently part of the permanent collection. Outside of starting one of the first Organic Kids clothes companies and selling into Whole Foods Internationally she has spent her entire career in Technology and after jumping ship at Carnival Cruise Lines she is currently employed as a Mobile Architect at Carter’s Corporation. She’s learned many lessons along the way the first of which is the least attractive thing you may ever create may indeed end up in MOMA. When not solving the riddle of how to innovate she is an obsessive rock climber and performs stand up comedy…neither professionally.
