About Marci Uihlein
Biography
Marci S. Uihlein is an Associate Professor of Architecture at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She has professional experience in the offices of Arup, and her current research focuses on the structural engineering profession: its history, the professional relationship between architects and engineers, and creativity in structural engineering design. She is the past president of the Building Technology Educators’ Society (BTES), a 2016-2018 Design Research Fellow for the College of Fine & Applied Arts, and the executive editor for the Taylor & Francis journal Technology | Architecture + Design.
