Illinois School of Architecture alum Germane Barnes named to Wallpaper* USA 400 list for 2024

The Illinois School of Architecture is pleased to congratulate alum Germane Barnes in being named to the Wallpaper* USA 400 list for 2024.

The Wallpaper* USA 400 honors the people defining America’s landscape.

Barnes’ is the founder of STUDIO Barnes, whose research and design practice investigates the connection between architecture and identity, examining architecture’s social and political agency through historical research and design speculation. Learning from historical data and perspectives from within architecture as well as cultural and ethnic studies, he examines how the built environment influences the social and cultural experience.

Illinois School of Architecture Former Plym Professor Suchi Reddy named to Wallpaper* USA 400 list for 2024

The Illinois School of Architecture is pleased to congratulate Suchi Reddy in being named to the Wallpaper* USA 400 list for 2024. Reddy served as the Plym Distinguished Visiting Professor for the fall 2019 semester.

Reddy is an architect, designer, and artist based in NYC. In 2002, Reddy founded Reddymade — a NYC-based studio specializing in architecture, interior design, planning, and public art. Reddymade’s guiding principle of practice is “form follows feeling,” a design ethos informed by neuroaesthetics, the study of how the brain responds to the design of our surroundings; The strong belief that good design, calibrated carefully to the human, positively influences wellbeing, creativity, and productivity informs all projects from conception to details.
