Giving to Architecture

There are many ways to be involved in giving to the Illinois School of Architecture. Any size monetary gift, an offer of volunteer efforts, provision of professional guidance and office internships, advice and mentorship, or firm tours all increase the value of an Illinois education for our students.

Financial support is key. Every year with donor support, we award scholarships, faculty awards, fellowships, programmatic and operational funds and professional lectureships to keep pushing our boundaries, redefining creativity in the classroom and in the field as well as expanding into the future of education. Your gifts can be useful in so many ways: giving yearly to an existing fund that supports travel or the classroom, creating an endowed fund that supports a scholarship, programming to our faculty in perpetuity, or, bringing the top practitioners and thought leaders to speak to our students and faculty, or participate in reviews. You can create impact with your gifts.

One of the most important things in maintaining excellence at the Illinois School of Architecture is the private support we receive from our alumni and friends. To attract and retain the best students, the best faculty, provide the best equipment and the best opportunities for learning and teaching, we must continue to ask for your generous support. It is pivotal in our shared successes now and in the future.

By giving to this fund, you are assuring our flexibility to respond to the areas of greatest need and/or urgency within the school – be it a student who is making ends meet or a studio field trip that emerges as an option.

Discover Architecture is a two-week program offered by the Illinois School of Architecture at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign which provides high school students and beginning college students the opportunity to be introduced to architectural graphics, design, and modeling. Please contribute to our scholarship program that supports enrolled students with tuition payment. Learn more about the program here.

One of the defining experiences for our students is travel abroad. Through our year-long immersion program in Barcelona to study in Shanghai, Stockholm, Munich or one of our global studios, our students get the best in international study. Contributing to this fund helps make it happen.

$

Visiting lecturer opportunities enrich student learning and energize our faculty. Providing a stipend or travel and lodging costs can make a difference in securing top design professionals in the world.

$

Financial support designated for the architecture design studios allows us to keep our classrooms current, equipment cutting-edge, and materials available that provide enrichment beyond the usual.
