I am delighted to invite you to the upcoming Richard Saivetz ‘69 Memorial Architectural Lecture, featuring Didem Ekici from the School of Architecture at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Her lecture, "Fashioning Style: Gottfried Semper and Nineteenth-Century Textile Embellishments," will explore Semper’s theories on textile and ornamentation, shedding light on the relationship between architecture, materiality, and design in the 19th century.
