The School of Architecture is pleased to announce the opening of a new exhibit at Temple Hoyne Buell Hall gallery from April 2nd-13th. Portals is a photographic catalog of entrances and their surroundings to the New York City Subway system. The exhibit features one image for all 255 stations documented in the project, alongside a series of installations contextualizing the photographs. The school opening of the exhibit will take place Monday April 2nd. Robert will be around throughout the afternoon during studio and early evening to discuss the project. There will be a weekend reception and discussion on Saturday, April 7th from 4pm – 6pm. Students and faculty are encouraged to attend as well as visit the exhibit throughout its two week duration.
Robert Prochaska is an architectural designer and photographer based in the United States. He is an alumnus of both the undergraduate and graduate architecture programs at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. His most recent work was in the office of Kyle May, Architect before beginning the Portals project.
