University of Illinois Graduate Vladimir Radutny, AIA, (BArch 2000, MArch 2002) was awarded the 2016 Dubin Family Young Architect Award by the AIA Chicago Foundation.  This is a juried award established in 1983 to recognize excellence in ability and exceptional contributions by Chicago area architects between the ages of twenty-five and thirty-nine. Jurors were “…impressed with Radutny's scope of work that has garnered multiple awards from AIA Chicago and beyond."

Radutny’s, residential projects have been recognized in AIA Chicago’s Design Excellence and Small Projects award programs (2013-16), as well as the Builder’s Choice Custom Home Design award (2016). His studio’s approach is ideas-driven, with dedication to artistic thinking and experimentation, testing designs that result in work that moves beyond just an aesthetic response. He has taught at the Illinois Institute of Technology and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and is recognized for challenging the conventional interpretations of space, function, and material use.
