The jury, members of the AIA Chicago Foundation, agreed that the Fields and Fabrics design proposal was their top choice. The jury thought that the project had a well-defined problem statement and that the overall design was strong and well composed. It was the clear winner.
They received 25 outstanding and innovative projects submitted from 5 schools: Illinois Institute of Technology, School of the Art Institute of Chicago, University of Illinois at Chicago, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.
A publication with the studio work is being prepared and will be announced soon.
