Design: Detail & Architectonics
ARCH 571 | Fall 2016
Associate Professor Erik Hemingway
This studio took part in the Architecture that Reacts ’16 competition.
About the competition: We invite designers from around the world to submit their ideas of architecture that reacts. That means architecture which is able to respond and adjust dynamically to the current needs and circumstances. This architecture lives as a living organism, since it responds to the external stimuli and it develops because of it. No professional qualifications are necessary.
Two graduate students in Associate Professor Erik Hemingway’s Arch 571 studio have received Honorable Mentions in the Laka Competition ’16: Architecture that Reacts! More than 250 Participants from 40 countries submitted designs to this year’s “Architecture that Reacts” competition. Congratulations to Adrienne Strohm & Asmaa Almunayes!
