Overview:

This project offered students unique opportunities to learn traditional building and fabrication techniques, vernacular architecture, to design new buildings in a historically significant setting, and be introduced to the building and fabrication process in architecture. The project is to design a master plan, several temporary lodging facilities, and a kitchen/communal facility for volunteer workers at the Fort Pulaski National Monument (built, 1833), located on Cockspur Island, near Savannah, Georgia.
